Key Responsibilities-1. Financial Accounting & ReportingMaintain accurate books of accounts in compliance with statutory requirements.Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.Manage general ledger, journal entries, and account reconciliations.Ensure timely closing of accounts and preparation of audit-ready reports.2. Budgeting & Financial PlanningDevelop annual budgets in coordination with school leadership.Monitor budget utilization and provide variance analysis.Advise management on cost optimization and financial planning strategies.3. Fee ManagementOversee student fee collection, reconciliation, and reporting.Ensure timely issuance of fee receipts and maintenance of fee registers.Monitor outstanding dues and coordinate with administration for recovery.4. Payroll & Employee BenefitsSupervise payroll processing, including salaries, allowances, and statutory deductions.Ensure compliance with PF, ESI, gratuity, and other statutory benefits.Maintain employee financial records and coordinate with HR for accuracy.5. Vendor & Procurement AccountingVerify vendor bills, purchase orders, and contracts.Process payments to suppliers and service providers.Maintain records of advances, settlements, and outstanding liabilities.6. Compliance & AuditEnsure adherence to statutory requirements including Income Tax, GST, and TDS.Hands-on experience with TRACES portal for TDS compliance, challan verification, and Form 16/26Q generation.Proficiency in Winman applications for income tax return filing, GST computation, and audit support.Prepare final accounts and balance sheets in consultation with auditors.Liaise with internal and external auditors and support audit processes.Maintain documentation for inspections and regulatory submissions.7. Cash & Bank ManagementMonitor daily cash flow and bank transactions.Reconcile bank statements and manage petty cash.Ensure proper authorization and documentation for fund transfers.8. Asset & Inventory ManagementMaintain records of school assets, depreciation schedules, and disposals.Oversee accounting for inventory and consumables.9. Systems & Process ImprovementImplement accounting software and ERP systems for operational efficiency.Develop and document SOPs for financial processes to ensure transparency and accountability.Train department staff on accounting practices and compliance requirements.
Highlights: Master’s degree in Commerce, Accounting, or Finance. Strong knowledge of statutory compliance, taxation, and audit processes. Hands‑on experience with TRACES portal and Winman applications
