SEL Teacher

Key Responsibilities:Teach SEL Curriculum: Deliver SEL lessons that focus on key areas such as self-awareness, self-regulation, social awareness, relationship skills, and responsible decision-making.Create a Safe and Inclusive Classroom: Establish a nurturing classroom environment that promotes emotional safety, respect, and inclusivity for all students.Assess Student Progress: Monitor and assess students' social-emotional development and provide targeted interventions as needed.Collaborate with Staff and Families: Work closely with school counselors, administrators, and teachers to develop and implement SEL strategies school-wide. Communicate regularly with parents and caregivers to support students' emotional growth and address any concerns.Promote Positive Behavior: Implement strategies to promote positive behavior, manage classroom dynamics, and resolve conflicts among students.Professional Development: Stay current on best practices and new developments in SEL and attend relevant workshops or training to enhance teaching methods. Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Education, Psychology, Social Work, or related field. A Master’s degree in a relevant field is a plus.Previous experience in teaching, counseling, or working with children in an educational setting.Knowledge of Social-Emotional Learning principles and techniques.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.Patience, empathy, and strong problem-solving skills.Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of students.
Highlights: Bachelor’s degree in Education, Psychology, Social Work, or related field. A Master’s degree in a relevant field is a plus.
